Makino Chaya
We knew Makino Chaya recently opened up at the Aloha Tower. It was a deadbeat Friday and I was the boss(x3) so timing was great!
The new restaurant is located on the second floor at the opposite end of Hooters. If you're coming from the doc then turn by Hooters and walk up the stairs. All the way across to the other side is Makino's.
Anyway, the place is huge and can easily accomodate large parties. Initially, the only crappy thing was that the line was fricken long but the mood changed as the smell of ono food wafted around the place. It's setup like a cafeteria with the food on the right side and seating on the left.
The rundown was like this: sushi, poke, seafood, friedfood, teppanyaki, tempura. I don't even want to go into detail on each section cause it was choke full of grinds. Directly across the long "food bar" were smaller fruit and dessert bars culminating with a chocolate fondue machine. Finally, add to this, two soft drink dispensers. Who the f*^@ could ask for more. Winnah!!!!
Location: Aloha Tower Market Place
Parking: 3-hour Validated Aloha Tower Parking
Theme: Japanese
Price Range: $13
Rating: Great
